Tim Cahill urges Everton to continue impressive form
Cahill scored his seventh goal of the season against Manchester City
Aussie midfielder Tim Cahill says Everton can take the momentum from their win over Manchester City into the match against Wolves on Saturday.
After a poor start to the season, the Blues are now battling for Europe.
Cahill told BBC Radio Merseyside: "At the start of the year [we knew] how difficult it would be trying to fight out of the corner.
"We're out of the corner and we're up there with the best of them. We need to take this momentum into the next game."
"In the last couple of months we're starting to play great football," he added.
"We're working for each other, we had a great game plan against Manchester City, and we knew what we had to do. It seemed to be executed very well and we held our nerve.
"They put us under pressure a bit, but we played some great football and we have some great characters."
Since the turn of the year the Toffees have beaten Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City, and Cahill insists the squad has always had character.
"We didn't lack belief, even when we were doing really badly," he said. "We hadn't become a bad team overnight.
"I speak highly of the chairman and the management staff here for bringing in the right players, and we're sticking together. Whether we have a big squad or a small squad we seem to deliver on the right occasions."
