Jo scored five goals in 12 appearances for Everton last season
Everton midfielder Dan Gosling has welcomed the return of Brazilian striker Jo to Goodison Park.
The 22-year-old has re-signed on a season-long loan from Manchester City following a successful spell between January and May last season.
"He's a top, top player. He's played for the Brazil national team," Gosling told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"It's a great addition to the squad as he proved last season with the important goals he scored."
In addition to Jo, Gosling believes Everton could really benefit from an injury-free Louis Saha next season.
"He's another top player," he added. "A [former] French international. He's played at the highest level for a number of years now so he's a great player to have in the team.

"He's great to have as a young lad as he helps and looks after everyone and hopefully his goals will put us back up the league."
Gosling came to national prominence with a deft strike to seal victory for Everton over Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round replay at Goodison in February.
The 19-year-old was propelled to the status of folk hero as a result and while not getting carried away with his performances from last season he has promised there is more to come from him during the forthcoming campaign.
"You try to better yourself every year and that's what I'm looking to do this year," he said.
