Moyes has transformed the Merseysiders since his arrival from Preston North End in March,

He has taken Everton, who narrowly avoided relegation last season, into third place in the Premiership with six straight wins and is almost certain to win November's manager of the month award.

Moyes is only eight months into a four-year contract - but there has already been speculation that Everton are preparing a new deal.

But Moyes revealed he is not behind talk of a new contract, and insists his only priority is continuing Everton's improvement.

He said: "What matters is getting the job right.

"I am not motivated by money and I don't think there is any point in discussing new deals.

"I don't know where I stand in the tables of payments among my fellow managers and it doesn't matter to me."

The 39-year-old Everton boss is acknowledged as the country's brightest managerial prospect, and has been touted as a potential successor to Martin O'Neill if he fails to agree a new deal at Celtic.

He has even been mentioned as the long-term successor to Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

Everton, however, are certain to have plans in hand to reward Moyes for his brilliant start at Goodison Park.
