Moyes keeps cool

Everton boss David Moyes is refusing to get carried away despite his team going third in the Premiership table after beating West Brom.

Tomasz Radzinski scored the only goal of the game as Everton registered their sixth successive win.

That's another clean sheet and that breeds confidence

But Moyes is determined to ensure that his team keep improving and continue their excellent form.

"Yes, I've looked at the league table, and yes it looks pretty good," said Moyes.

"But it's only okay, we can do better than this."

Moyes - who took over at the club towards the end of last season - was delighted that his defence did not concede.

"That's another clean sheet, and that breeds confidence," said the Goodison boss.

"But we are now finding a different sort of pressure.

"Previously at this place it was the pressure of being around the bottom - now it's the pressure of knowing you have to keep winning to stay where you are, now you see who can handle it.

"But we won't get carried away, I can find plenty of teams who were in this position after 15 games and ended up in the bottom half."

West Brom boss Gary Megson was disappointed with the result but believes his team are capable of turning around their poor form.

"They have won six on the trot and we haven't won in nine, but there wasn't much difference," said Megson.

"Our problem is passing. We gave it away too much and we gave it away for them to score their goal.

"Quality in that area was our downfall.

"We caused them some problems, I felt it was pretty even and we did have enough chances to have won it ourselves.

"But the passing is the big problem, we had possession and it all went astray."
