Daish's Fleet side were relegated after eight years in the Conference

Ebbsfleet United manager Liam Daish has said he fears he will lose his entire playing squad before pre-season.

Daish had to rebuild his entire squad a year ago after he was left with just three contracted players.

And following the Fleet's relegation to Blue Square South, Daish says the Kent club is yet to re-sign a single player.

"We lost a lot of good players at the back end of last year and we're in danger of losing good players again this year," Daish told BBC Radio Kent.

"It happened last year when all the players left, apart from the three who were on contract, and it's basically happened again.

"It is disappointing as we haven't learnt really."

Daish held a meeting to discuss the club's future with chairman Duncan Holt last Thursday but says he is no clearer about how much money he will have to spend next season.

"We discussed whether we'll be part-time or full-time," said Daish.

"No actual decisions were made and no figures were placed in front of me for what I would be working with.

"It was difficult on Friday morning when I met the players because they're a little bit in limbo and I feel for them. But we're just waiting at the moment.

"It needs to happen soon. Things have got to be put in place regarding what budgets are available.

"Then it's got to be put to the members (of myfootballclub - the club's owners), which they will vote on and then try to turn it round quickly to know where we all are."

Daish is worried that in the time it takes for the budget to be approved, his best players will have gone elsewhere.

"I can't do anything about that," admitted Daish. "Players just want their futures sorted and that's one of the consequences of what's happened."
