Eastbourne Borough have signed striker Richard Pacquette on a one-year deal from Blue Square Bet Premier rivals York City.
Since being released by QPR in 2004 the 27-year-old has had spells with MK Dons, Brentford and Histon.
Boro manager Garry Wilson told BBC Sussex: "We're delighted to have Richard at the club.
"He has a bit of power, is very good at holding the ball up, and he knows where the goal is."
He added: "I think he's in his prime and he's still hungry for success. He will add something different for us.

"He had a difficult year at York City last season with the competition for strikers but he just needs to play regularly."
The striker, who arrives on a free transfer, was one of Havant and Waterlooville's scorers in their 5-2 FA Cup defeat by Liverpool in 2008.
He is Wilson's fourth signing of the summer, following the additions of Rikki Banks, Matt Langston and Steve Brinkhurst.
