Dundee United manager Craig Levein hopes to replace within a week the four players who will play their last game for Dundee United against Motherwell. Striker Collin Samuel, defenders David McCracken and Lee Mair, plus goalkeeper Derek Stillie, are leaving this summer.
Levein is hopeful of signing goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska and three others.
And the manager said: "There are no guarantees that we'll get them yet, but the three players I'm working on are the three at the top of my list."
Zaluska has impressed while on trial from Polish outfit Korona Kielce and could be available for a nominal fee.
He would be a direct replacement for Stillie, who has decided he wants to complete his legal studies in London.
 | Greg and Morgaro have been spot-on recently Dundee United manager Craig Levein |
Mair has signed a pre-contract agreement to join Aberdeen, while Trinidad and Tobago international Samuel and former Scotland Under-21 cap McCracken have been told they are not being offered new contracts.
Samuel, who joined from Falkirk for 100,000 in 2003, has been linked with a move to Toronto.
McCracken, who has been nine years at Tannadice, has been in negotiations with clubs in England.
Meanwhile, Levein expects young midfielders Greg Cameron and Morgaro Gomis to take the Scottish Premier League by storm next season.
The 19-year-old Cameron will play against Motherwell but has a hernia that has ruled him out of Scotland's plans for the Under-20 World Cup in Canada this summer.
He needs an injection which will keep him sidelined until the start of pre-season.
The 21-year-old Gomis has made an immediate impact on United's first team since joining from Cowdenbeath in January and is a player Levein expects big things from.
"Greg and Morgaro have been spot-on recently," he said.
"They have shown a great attitude through their willingness to play despite not being fully fit and when they've been in the team they have done well.
"I've been saying for a while now that Cameron has found a new determination to get back in and stay in the team and that's been reflected in the amount of games he's getting.
"Gomis is a young boy who has come on far quicker than expected since he came to us.
"He has made his mark on the first team even though I didn't think he would make the breakthrough this quickly."
