Wilkie has been capped 11 times for Scotland |
Raith Rovers are the latest club to express an interest in former Dundee and Scotland defender Lee Wilkie. The 26-year-old has been training with Dundee United since being released from Dens Park after a two-and-a-half year fight with knee injuries.
But Stark's Park manager Craig Levein told the Daily Record: "Lee is on our radar and if he was to become available we would certainly be interested.
"We want to improve and the only way to do that is to bring in better players."
Wilkie has already turned out for the Tannadice side's reserves and has said United will have first option should he recover his fitness.
And he is expected to play against Inverness in a second-string fixture on Tuesday.
"We'll let him concentrate on this game and sit down and have a chat once he's come through it," United boss Craig Brewster told the Scottish Sun.
Plymouth Argyle have already gone public with their interest in the player who has suffered three cruciate knee ligament injuries since January 2004.
