Stock joined Doncaster from Preston North End in January 2007
Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll says he is hopeful midfielder Brian Stock will sign a new contract.
Rovers have offered the Wales international a two-and-a-half-year deal but face strong competition from a number of other Championship clubs.
"There's no point putting an offer to him if you don't think he will sign," O' Driscoll told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"I don't think he is any great rush, there has been various clubs interested in him on the grapevine."
He added: "Players have that opportunity to see what is out there and we have no problem with that.
"If he makes a decision that he is going to wait until the end of the season we will live with that but if he signs it then we will be delighted."
The 29-year-old Welshman has been linked with several clubs during his time at the Keepmoat Stadium but most recently was subject of a bid from Swansea City.
