On-loan Doncaster Rovers midfielder Jay Emmanuel-Thomas wants to stay at the Keepmoat until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old joined from Arsenal on Saturday on an initial one-month deal and made his debut the same day in the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
The England Under-19 man told BBC Radio Sheffield: "If all goes well I'll be here till the end of the season.
"Hopefully I'll get a few games under my belt, score a few goals and the crowd will make me feel welcome."
The former Arsenal youth captain came off the bench to make an impressive debut for Rovers.

"The team played very good football and obviously coming from Arsenal that's what we do, so it was good to play here," he added.
Emmanuel-Thomas joined Arsenal as a trainee in 2008 and has Championship experience from a loan spell at Blackpool at the start of the season.
Although the teenager is happy to stay at the Keepmoat for the remainder of the season, his long-term goal is to break into the Arsenal first team.
"After the main squad of 18, there's a couple of players after them. All I've got to do is make sure I work hard and keep improving," he said.
