Derby County forward Alberto Bueno's hamstring injury is not as serious as was first feared and he could be back in action within a fortnight.
The Spaniard was forced off after only 14 minutes of Saturday's 2-1 defeat against Burnley at Turf Moor.
Rams manager Nigel Clough was initially worried he may not return until close to the start of the Christmas fixtures.
But a scan has shown only minor damage, although he will definitely miss Saturday's home game against Norwich.
Bueno moved to Pride Park on a season-long loan from Real Valladolid at the end of August.
