Bueno made three appearances for Real Madrid's first team

Derby County executive chairman Tom Glick is confident that new loan signing Alberto Bueno will prove a big hit with the club's supporters.

Real Madrid youth product Bueno, 22, has joined on a season-long deal.

And Glick told BBC Radio Derby: "He is potentially one of the most exciting signings we have made in a long time.

"He comes recommended at the highest level by the national coach Vicente Del Bosque. Fans have been looking for a bit of quality and he will bring that."

Bueno is likely to get his first taste of action when the Rams face Sheffield United at Pride Park on Saturday.

Glick added: "He can play in any of the four positions up front and we couldn't be more excited about what he will bring to Derby County.

"We have scouted him personally. He has played for Spain at U17, U19 and U21 level, has played at Real Madrid at first-team level and has a played a full season of La Liga.

"He had a number of choices in Europe where he could go. Ultimately it is has been decided Derby County - under Nigel Clough - is the place where he will come to develop. He is excited about playing in England and we think he will settle very well."
