Derby County defender Shaun Barker says it is vital the team do not over-react to their below-par display in the 2-0 defeat away against Leicester.

The Rams are still fourth in the Championship table, having won seven and drawn one of their last 10 matches.

Barker told BBC Radio Derby: "We were not at our best but it's how we react again. We went on a good run after losing to Millwall [on 23 October].

"We bounced back with some good wins and need to do that again."

Barker, who will be suspended when Derby face Scunthorpe at Pride Park on Saturday, added: "We have a chance to train hard and get things back on track against Scunthorpe.

"We won't take things lightly against them. They pretty much destroyed us last season; so we know what threat they have but this season we are different team."
