Derby County manager Nigel Clough has revealed his interest in Notts County midfielder Ben Davies.

The 29-year-old is one of a number of players the Rams are looking at before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.

Derby watched Davies against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday and Clough told BBC Radio Derby: "He's on the radar but we've been out watching lots of games."

Notts boss Craig Short said he was aware Davies was being watched but said there had been no official approach.

"I don't want to lose him," Short told BBC Radio Nottingham. "No one has called me or the chairman. I think they might be watching him but there is nothing we are aware of."
