Wigan's Tomasz Cywka agrees permanent Derby County deal
Cywka has failed to score in 12 appearances in English football
Derby County have agreed to sign Wigan striker Tomasz Cywka on a permanent deal following a successful loan spell.
The Polish forward, 21, has agreed a two-year contract and will join on a free transfer when his current deal with the Latics expires in June.
Manager Nigel Clough told the club's website: "His performances towards the end of the season were impressive and we were delighted with what we saw.
"Tomasz isn't the finished article but he has plenty of talent and potential."
Cywka failed to score in five Championship appearances for the Rams but Clough continued: "We're confident he can develop with us and become a very good player for years to come in a Derby County shirt.
"He instantly struck up a rapport with the supporters who took to Tomasz straight away."
Cwyka, who will officially join the Rams on 1 July, was offered a new deal to stay with Premier League side Wigan.
But boss Roberto Martinez told his club's website: "Tomasz feels his chances of first-team football will be better served at Derby and I respect that decision.
