Derby County's three-match tour of the West Country ended with a 3-1 victory at Exeter City.
Midfielder Paul Green scored twice on his return from injury, with Steven Davies also on the score-sheet.
Manager Nigel Clough said: "It was a good team performance with some standout individual displays.
"Paul Green showed his importance to the team and was fully deserving of his goals. His work rate and energy gives us an extra dimension."
Green had damaged his ankle in an earlier pre-season game against Chesterfield and missed the first two games of the tour against Yeovil and Torquay.
Davies impressed Clough too, after coming on as a second-half substitute. As well as scoring himself, Davies set-up Green's second goal.
"Steven Davies was excellent when he came on, making a very big impact on the game," Clough added.
"He has all the attributes, good on the ball, scores all kinds of goals and is good in the air.
"He should now be pushing hard to make sure he gets a starting place as there's no reason why he shouldn't."
