Refereeing has been poor - Darlington boss Mark Cooper
Cooper was appointed Darlington boss in June
Darlington boss Mark Cooper says that the standard of refereeing in the Blue Square Bet Premier has been "poor".
Cooper felt the Quakers were harshly treated in last Saturday's 1-1 draw with Crawley, when Aaron Brown was sent off for a foul on Richard Brodie.
"Some of the decisions that are being made are not acceptable," Copper told BBC Tees.
"There doesn't seem to be any accountability. It [the refereeing] has been poor."
The former Kettering and Peterborough boss added: "Having reviewed the video, I don't think it was a sending-off and at the time I didn't think it was a sending-off but the coverage wasn't good enough for us to appeal.
"We definitely should have had a penalty for the foul on Josh Gray and they should have had a goal that was disallowed, so that's three big decisions that he got wrong."
Copper's side are unbeaten in six games in all competitions and lie 11th in non-league football's top flight.
