Darlington boss Dave Penney has urged his players to give their all between now and the end of the season, even if they leave at the end of the campaign.
Penney will lose much of his squad when their contracts expire at the end of the season, but understands their situation given the club's finances.
"The players are going to be playing to get away and show prospective managers their talents," he told BBC Look North.
"They'll be looking for new clubs, I can't offer contracts to anybody."
Administration has been a massive blow for the club, with the 10-point penalty affecting the club on the field, and the financial situation threatening the club's long-term future.
I have to make sure I come in with a smile and we face every day so the players can be up for it

And Penney, who along with his players is working without pay at this time, said the recent developments have been tough to take.
"A lot of the players are feeling the pinch at the moment, it's costing them to come into work," he said.
"Who motivates the motivator? I have to make sure I come in with a smile and we face every day so the players can be up for it.
"It's important me and Martin set a lead, we keep the same standards in training, with discipline and playing games and I hope that comes into the matches."
