Darlington manager Dave Penney has lauded new signings Michael Flynn and Seb Carole.
Midfielder Flynn, 28, has joined the Quakers on a month's loan from Huddersfield while winger Carole, 26, signed after being released by Leeds.
Penney told BBC Tees: "I've been after Michael for a long time, he's all-action and can score goals.
"Seb has been training with Sheffield United, being a permanent signing he will make the squad a lot stronger."
Darlington play their first game in 11 days when they take on Rochdale at the Darlington Arena on Saturday.
"You can get stale playing every Saturday and Tuesday and all we've been doing is playing and recovering," said Penney.
"We've had the chance to freshen up and work on things on the training ground.
"We've got a big squad that is ready for hopefully a lot of games in December."
