Darlington have announced the appointment of businessman Raj Singh as their new vice chairman.
The Teesside-born Singh is owner of the Stockton-based Prestige Group.
A club statement said Singh will add "significant backing to chairman George Houghton, who retains the majority share of the business".
It added: "Mr Singh is a lifelong football fan and brings an energetic enthusiasm for the sport to his new role at the Darlington Arena."
The Quakers said Singh's business interests include a number of residential care homes and investment properties across the Tees Valley.
Houghton, who took control of the club in 2006, said: "During the last two years, my team and I have worked very hard to ensure that Darlington becomes successful both on and off the pitch.
"A successful team requires a strong business to support it and Raj Singh's investment, enthusiasm and expertise will help us to take the next step in our plans for the future in all aspects of our organisation."
Singh added: "I am delighted to be on board and looking forward to the challenge of taking this club forward."
