Darlington have signed former Leyton Orient defender Clayton Fortune on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old centre back began his career at Tottenham Hotspur before joining Bristol City in August 2000, where he made 53 appearances.

He joined the O's in 2006 before going on a second loan spell at Port Vale, where he spent six months while at Bristol City.

Fortune was released by Leyton Orient at the end of the season.
