Taiwo scored his first Daggers goal against Reading in the Carling Cup

Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Soloman Taiwo said he hopes he has done enough to hold down a regular starting place.

The 23-year-old made just a handful of starts last season after joining from Sutton United last November.

Taiwo, who scored in the Carling Cup defeat to Reading, said: "I didn't have the best of starts last year.

"It just fills me with confidence that he [manager John Still] put me in, all I've got to do now is repay him, hopefully there's more to come."
