Dougie Freedman says he wants to finish his career with Crystal Palace having ruled out a loan move to Leeds United.

The Scottish striker, 33, was wanted by Leeds boss, and fellow countryman, Gary McAllister to bolster their League One promotion push.

But Freedman told BBC London 94.9: "There's been discussions put to me and to the manager from Gary.

"I've had a little bit of time thinking about it, but I just feel that I have something to offer Crystal Palace."

"With eight or nine games to go it's very tight up there and I feel I've got the qualities to win one or two points for the lads and right now it's the decision I've made.

"As long as I keep on playing football for Crystal Palace and get game time then any [other] team is a dead duck.

"I want play here. I want to finish my career here. When I stop getting game time for Crystal Palace then I'll consider my options but so far I'm happy to stay.

"I am settled here and I've been here a long time. So I'll keep my head down and keep on working for Crystal Palace."
