Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has praised Lee Hills after the teenager scored his first goal for the club. The 17-year-old netted a left-footed volley that looked like the winner against Bristol City, but had it cancelled out by a late equaliser.
Warnock told BBC London: "You're not going to get much better than that. It was a super strike, he deserved it."
Hills has played 10 senior games for Palace and signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the club in January.
Hills is one of a crop of talented youngsters at Crystal Palace. Fellow teenager Sean Scannell has also signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the club after scoring two senior goals.
John Bostock, 16, is also highly rated and became the club's youngest ever player at 15 years and 287 days in October 2007.
He has also represented England under-17s and has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
