Sarcevic scored his only goal for Crewe in a 6-2 defeat at Northampton
Teenage midfielder Antoni Sarcevic is hopeful of extending his contract and continuing his development at Crewe.
Sarcevic agreed a one-year deal in May 2010 after joining from non-league Woodley Sports, with the option of extending that by a further year.
"If I come back next year, I'm going to push myself as much as I can in pre-season," he told BBC Radio Stoke.
"I'm going to get as fit as I can, try and impress in the games and hopefully I might get some starts next season."
The 19-year-old has made four substitute appearances for the Alex, scoring one goal.
He had a loan spell at Chester early in the season and scored on his debut for Crewe in the 6-2 defeat at Northampton in February.
First-team opportunities may have been limited for Sarcevic this season, but he has enjoyed the experience of being a full-time professional in the Football League.
"It's unbelievable because coming from non-league football, you don't get a lot of fans," he said.
"Then you go to places and you're playing in front of thousands. I love it, I just take it as experience and try and learn from it.
"It's all a learning curve for me and I just want to push on for next season."
