Crewe Alexandra boss Gradi hopes Rhys Taylor will stay
Taylor has impressed Gradi since arriving on loan from Chelsea
Crewe Alexandra manager Dario Gradi is to hold talks with on-loan Chelsea goalkeeper Rhys Taylor to find out whether he wants to stay at the club.
The Wales Under-21 international has a clause in his loan deal that allows him to move elsewhere in January.
Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke : "I am happy with Rhys, he's done fine, but I need to know what he wants to do."
Taylor has been an ever-present in the Crewe team this season having signed on a season-long deal in the summer.
The 20-year-old was recommended to the club by former boss Steve Holland, who is now the reserve team manager at Stamford Bridge.
Taylor arrived as the replacement for Steve Phillips who required surgery on his shoulder, and he has kept four clean sheets this season.
"We have three fit goalkeepers now on our books and if I establish that Rhys is happy to stay we will look at letting Steve go out on loan as he needs to play games," added Gradi.
