Crewe boss Dario Gradi to give formation another chance
Gradi seeking to build on win at Gillingham
Crewe Alexandra's change of formation is set to be given another chance against Rotherham United on Saturday.
The Alex switched to a 3-5-2 line-up having lost their previous four games playing 4-4-2 and it paid off as they won at Gillingham 3-1.
Manager Dario Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke : "It's not my prefered way of playing but I had to do something.
"We need to be able to head the ball better in both boxes and this way we can with Adam Dugdale in the team."
Crewe are the joint-top scorers in League Two but they have managed only three clean sheets in their 16 games, conceding 23 goals in the process.
The victory at Gillingham has lifted the Alex back into the top 10 and they will face the Millers at the Alexandra Stadium looking to keep their decent home record of just two defeats intact.
On loan Chelsea keeper Rhys Taylor played 90 minutes for Wales Under-21s on Wednesday and he kept a clean sheet, his first in six games, in their 1-0 win over Austria.
