Crewe Alexandra will be without defender Danny Blanchett for Saturday's derby game at Port Vale.
The left-back was stretchered off after a clash of heads during the 3-1 win over Aldershot last weekend.
Crewe manager Dario Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke: "We will not risk him although he is now fine and back at the training ground."
Crewe have no other injury concerns and Mat-Mitchel King is expected to replace Blanchett at full-back.
Blanchett has been an ever-present in the Crewe team since he signed in the summer on a free transfer from Peterborough United.
The 22-year-old penned a one-year deal after impressing in the pre-season games.
Full commentary on the game at Vale Park will be in Sport on Saturday on BBC Radio Stoke (1503 MW and DAB) from 1500hrs.
