Crewe boss Dario Gradi is keeping calm about his side's promotion chances despite their good run of form.
Crewe climbed to ninth in League Two following their 3-0 win over Bury on Saturday and they have now taken eight points from their last four games.
"We won't get carried away," Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke.
"We only really had the hiccup at Cheltenham. If we hadn't played that game, I think we'd be sitting here saying we could have a chance."
Gradi added that it is too early in the season to predict which teams will be in the running for promotion to League One.
"I was speaking to Alan Knill [Bury manager] before the game and we were saying it hasn't settled down," he said.
"It'll take some while before you establish who's going to be at the top and who's going to be at the bottom.
"When that's established, maybe not until Christmas, then that's when teams start playing like top of the table or bottom of the table sides."
