Former Manchester United youngster Floribert N'Galula has joined the Crewe Alexandra squad at their training base at Carden Park for a short trial.
The DR Congo-born 22-year-old, who was released by Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam this summer, will try to earn a contract with Gudjon Thordarson's side.
The Belgium Under-21 international can operate in either defence or midfield.
Meanwhile, the Alex have decided against offering contracts to Michael Pook and Hamdi Razak.
French striker Razak has joined Yeovil Town on trial, after scoring twice for the Alex in a 7-0 friendly win over Newcastle Town on 5 July, while Pook has linked up with Cheltenham Town.
