Bailey has been a regular in the first team this season

Crewe Alexandra midfielder James Bailey has penned a new three-year deal with the League One side.

The 20-year-old from Macclesfield is the latest product of the club's successful academy to break into the first team.

The new deal is a reward for his performances this season and he is now under contract until 2011.

He has made 13 appearances this season for Crewe but he has yet to score his first senior goal.
