Dennis Lawrence was at the 2006 World Cup with Trinidad & Tobago

New Crewe Alexandra defender Dennis Lawrence says his height will help after joining them from Swansea City.

At 6ft 7ins, Lawrence is one of the tallest players in football.

And he told BBC Radio Stoke: "It can work to my team's advantage. I will be the target at set-plays and we must exploit that when they come around."

The 34-year-old, who has signed from Championship side Swansea until January, is in line for his debut on Saturday at home to Northampton.
