Crewe's new loan signing Jake Livermore is confident that his switch from Tottenham will help develop his career.

The 18-year-old midfielder, who signed for the Alex on Friday, will spend six months at the Alexandra Stadium.

Livermore told the club's official website: "Getting first team football is my main objective and I know they play good football at Crewe.

"They have a reputation for giving young players a chance so this is a perfect opportunity for me."
