Cheddleton swimmer Jess Sylvester has been dropped from Great Britain's Olympic 4x100m freestyle relay team.

Sylvester was due to compete in the event after finishing fourth in the 100m final at March's Olympic trials.

However, just 10 days before the Games are due to start, her place in the team has now gone to Mel Marshall who did not compete in that race.

Syvlester remains in the relay squad for Beijing but Marshall will now compete in the heats.
