Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper Ben Williams says he will not be signing a new contract until the end of the season. The 25-year-old former Manchester United keeper has made over 100 appearances for the League One side since his arrival in 2004.
"The club have made a brilliant offer but I want to wait until the summer," Williams told BBC Radio Stoke.
"The club agree that we should wait but I want nothing more than for Crewe to be in League One next year."

Williams has also been the subject of abuse from his own supporters in recent weeks and on one occasion took exception to the comments of a fan.
"I realise that fans are entitled to their opinion but in this instance someone shouted something ridiculous and I took exception to that.
"I think he wanted me to pick the ball up outside my area - if he wants me to get sent off I'll do that.
"I can't just let that lie and because of the stupidity of the comment I felt that I had to put him in his place, but at the end of the day all I can worry about is doing my job as Crewe's goalkeeper.
"I know that the fans are frustrated with our league position and that they pay good money because they want to see us do well, but unless you're here day in, day out then you'll never fully understand our situation."
