Crewe have eased their striker shortage by signing powerful Southampton hitman Cedric Baseya on a one-month loan. Baseya, 19, has joined the Railwaymen to plug the gap left by injuries to Lee Barnard and Nicky Maynard, plus Simon Church's international call-up.
Baseya has yet to play a senior game for the Saints since signing from French club Bretigny two years ago.
The DR Congo U-20 international has been a regular at reserve level and added to his goal tally on Tuesday.
