Crawley Town have completed the signing of Histon's Matthew Langston on an emergency loan deal.
The 28-year-old defender arrives in the middle of an injury crisis at the Broadfield Stadium.
Reds boss Steve Evans told the club's official website: "Matt is a player who I have admired for some time.
"He is a leader of men and is clearly an asset to us not just at this time but perhaps for the future, although it is very early days."
"He will make his debut against Wimbledon not because of injuries but because he makes us a better team." Evans added.
Crawley are plagued by injury, with defenders Adam Quinn and Eddie Hutchinson struggling alongside midfielder Glenn Wilson.
"I am grateful to Bruce Winfield and Susan Carter for sanctioning the loan signing but they could see we were down to the bare bones," he said.
"I would like to add one other but that will be a decision for later in the week."
