Mick Galloway played for Gretna for two seasons until 2005 |
Former Gretna and Gillingham midfielder Mick Galloway has signed for Cowdenbeath after being persuaded to return to senior football. The 32-year-old was said to have lost his appetite for the senior game and recently managed non-league Northbank.
But Cowden boss Brian Welsh said: "He has rediscovered his passion for the game and agreed to join us.
"Mick is an excellent footballer and has a fantastic range of passing. He has vast experience at a good level."
Galloway played for Notts County, Gillingham, Chesterfield, Carlisle United, Hereford, Gretna, Stirling Albion, Workington and Eastwood Town.
His arrival at Central Park will go some way to compensating Welsh's side for the loss of the versatile Gary Fusco.
The 24-year-old has joined Second Division rivals Brechin City at the end of his contract.
