King has scored seven goals in 23 appearances for Coventry
Coventry City striker Marlon King says the loss of manager Aidy Boothroyd will not affect his commitment to the club.
Having completed a four-match suspension, King's first game under caretaker boss Andy Thorn was the Sky Blues' 2-0 win against Watford.
The former Watford striker told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "I'm contracted to Coventry City and I'll continue to give 110%.
"All I can focus on is doing well when I pull on a Coventry shirt."
King added: "He [Boothroyd] brought me here. I've known him a long time but that's football.
"I can't help what's gone on upstairs. That's out of my hands."
Boothroyd's presence at the Ricoh Arena was instrumental in the 30-year-old signing a deal with the Midlands club earlier in the season having previously worked together at Vicarage Road.
But with Boothroyd gone, there are questions over whether the striker will remain at Coventry after the summer.
In the meantime, with City 17th in the table and 10 points above the bottom three, King is concentrating on helping the club avoid relegation from the Championship.
Speaking after the victory over his former employers he said: "It's been hard because we've had injuries and suspensions. We've had an up and down season but you can't cry over spilt milk.
"You've just got to crack on with it and that's what we've done."
