Coventry boss Aidy Boothroyd believes their FA Cup trip to Birmingham will be "great" for the club's supporters.
The Sky Blues reached the fourth round with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.
Boothroyd told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "It's great for our fans. It's a local derby and I'm looking forward to it.
"There are players to have played for both clubs - Scott Dann for them and Gary McSheffrey and Lee Carsley from our end."
The tie is scheduled for the weekend of 29/30 January.
