Coventry City have signed Ipswich Town striker Jon Stead on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent deal.
The 26-year-old will go straight into the Sky Blues' squad for Wednesday's game at Newcastle United.
The former England Under-21 international has scored six goals in 22 appearances this season.
Manager Chris Coleman told the club website: "He has all the attributes to be a very good player for Coventry."
