Bell was linked to Coventry in the summer before joining Norwich
Coventry City have signed Republic of Ireland B winger David Bell from Norwich on a three-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old, who joined the Canaries from Luton in July, had been a long-term target for the Sky Blues.
He has made 19 Championship appearances this season, scoring once.
Norwich boss Bryan Gunn told the club website: "He wanted to move back closer to home with his family. He has been very professional, we wish him well."
Former Canaries manager Glenn Roeder accused Coventry of trying to unsettle Bell in December.
