Coventry striker Michael Mifsud says while he remains at the club, fans can be assured of committed performances.
"I always had passion," he told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. "I was always happy here. I am committed to Coventry and I try my best in whatever I do."
The Malta international played his first game since his transfer to Bristol City collapsed in the 3-1 Carling Cup win over Aldershot Town.
The Sky Blues now host Premier League Newcastle United in the second round.
Meanwhile, Coventry boss Chris Coleman says he is not worried about new signing Freddy Eastwood's lack of goals.
The former Southend and Wolves has not found the net in his first two games but Coleman believes the goals will come.
"He can create chances and he can score so I do not have a problem with Eastwood," he said.
And he warned fans not to put too much pressure on the 24-year-old Wales international: "He is still not ready - it will be nine or ten games till we see the real Freddy Eastwood."
