Colchester United's Andy Bond and Marc Tierney will be sidelined for up to three weeks after the pair underwent hernia operations on Tuesday.
Bond has six goals in 20 games from midfield in his debut season for the U's after joining from Barrow.
Left-back Tierney has featured 79 times since signing permanently in 2009.
His contract is set to expire at the end of the season and, despite rumours suggesting he will leave the U's, the club say talks are ongoing.
