Colchester United manager Paul Lambert says the 5-0 thrashing of Carlisle United in League One on Saturday was a 'massive performance'.
It was the U's first win at the Community Stadium and moved them up to 16th in the table.
Lambert told BBC Essex: "The lads in the three games I've been involved in have been terrific.
"It happens when a new manager comes in, you get a little bit of a lift, the lads have been a credit to themselves."
A brace from Mark Yeates, and strikes from David Perkins, Dean Hammond and Akanni Sunday-Wasiu sealed the victory.
Lambert added: "The lads have responded to what we're asking them to do, it was always in them."
"I can go through every one of them, they have been a credit to the football club."
The U's had failed to win any of their previous six matches at their new home, drawing two and losing four.

The one blot on the performance was an injury to record signing Steven Gillespie, who went off with a hamstring injury in the first half.
"We can't keep him fit at the minute, we'll have to assess how he is, we've got to get him to fit," Lambert said.
