Christophe's late goal at Telford earned Southend a 2-2 draw

Southend United have extended the loan of Portsmouth midfielder Jean-Francois Christophe for a third and final month.

The new deal, which runs out on 8 December, will see the Frenchman stay at Roots Hall for the maximum permitted 93 days.

The 21-year-old has scored two goals in 13 appearances for the Blues, including a last-gasp equaliser in Saturday's FA Cup first round tie at AFC Telford.

Southend boss Steve Tilson hopes to sign Christophe permanently in January.
