Colchester United manager Geraint Williams was upset with the nature of both Ipswich goals in Tuesday's 2-1 Carling Cup defeat.
The Welshman was critical of his defence after strikes from Pablo Counago and former U's forward Kevin Lisbie gave Ipswich the win.
Williams told BBC Essex: "We've let them have two goals, we could have done better to stop them."
"In the second half, we've only taken one of four gilt-edged chances."
