Colchester United midfielder Anthony Wordsworth has become the latest player to sign a new contract at the League One side.

The 19-year-old has penned a three-year extension that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2011.

He joins Clive Platt and John White in signing new deals.

Wordsworth ended the U's pre-season as joint top scorer with Steven Gillespie and has been rewarded with several starting berths so far this season.
