McLeod joined Charlton from the Dons last summer

He cost �1.1m from MK Dons last summer, having averaged a goal almost every two games for them and was named 2006/07 League Two player of season.

But having made his Charlton debut in the Carling Cup first-round win at Swindon, he has only managed to score once in 18 appearances.

McLeod, 23, will team up with old Dons team-mate Clive Platt at Layer Road.
