Chesterfield midfielder Jamie Lowry has agreed a new one-year contract.

The 23-year-old, who has made 117 appearances for the Spireites, scored six goals last season before a cruciate ligament damage ended his season.

He told the club website: "This is the worst injury I've had and I appreciate the support shown by the club.

"I have spent most of the summer at Lilleshall and am hoping that I can build on the progress made there now that we are back for pre-season."
